About George Moraitis
Representative George Moraitis is a partner with the law firm of Moraitis, Cofar, Karney, Moraitis & Quailey where he practices primarily in the areas of real estate, probate, and estate planning.
George was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and is a graduate of Fort Lauderdale High School and the United States Naval Academy. After serving seven years on active duty as a submarine officer in the United States Navy during which he qualified as a Navy Nuclear Propulsion Engineer, George attended the University of Florida College of Law and then followed his father, George, Sr., into the practice of law.
George has been married to Heather Thompson for 23 years, and they are active members of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. They have two daughters, Alexis and Catherine.
In November, 2010, George was elected as a State Representative. He currently represents District 93 that includes most of northeast Broward County. George serves on the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee (Alternating Chairman), Appropriations Committee, Civil Justice & Claims Subcommittee, Insurance and Banking Subcommittee, and Judiciary Committee.
In January, 2018 George was elected as Chairman of the Broward Republican Executive Committee.
